Saturday we arrived at B and M's around 4:20 p.m. With back packs and kids in tow we drove to the foot of the Lake Mountains and decided we would conquer the small beast. As we started to hike we all realized (the adults) that this was going to be a piece of cake for the kids. For some of us, another story. As the kids were racing to the top we started to re-think the whole "getting to the top of the small beast part" and decided on a smaller mountain to the left. (We decided the next hike we'll get a little closer to the top and by the end of the summer we will conquer the beast. Sounds good, huh)

After some rest, snacks, and a few snapshot moments we made our way back down. With a few falls here and there, everyone made it down safe and sound and with another great memory. We finished off the night with Pizza and Brownies (thanks M)
This was a great idea B we had a ton of fun!
That looks like so much fun!! I'm glad you guys had a good time hiking. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteYa know, it's pictures like THESE that REALLY make me homesick - and I don't get homesick. I really wish I could have been there with you guys for that hike. Not for the hike itself, mind you...that probably would have killed me, but it would have been worth it to hang with the fam.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast! It's so great that you all get out and do fun stuff together. Wish we could have been there!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad SOMEONE remembered their camera, because SOMEONE forgot theirs!
ReplyDeleteWe're looking forward to the next hike. :)
This looks like so much fun - when someone else is doing it! And great that you brought the kids! I keep thinking you just have little kids, but look what they can do! Now you're in for LOTS of good times!!
ReplyDeleteI hate that we missed this! Blasted self storage facility... You guys look like that was so fun. Can we please give that a round two soon? And Scawna- girl, how can you say fat? Did you see the pic of that girl reaching for her husband with those skinny legs?! You're looking great. Sure hate missing those moments. Awesome pictures. Thanks for pposting them.
